Lesotho 2022: Day 15 Reflections

In one of our more subdued days, we traveled to the Mohale Dam. After learning about the negative impacts of the project on the Basotho, emotions flowed. There was even some discussion of adding saliva to the aquatic contents of the structure, although these turned out to be mere threats. As we approached the end of the structure, the treacherous winds began to rear their hideous figures. We soon traveled back to the Molimo Nthuse lodge, where, after lunch, a significantly large group embarked on a walk along the nearby river. Our ambulations brought us past Dr. Rosenberg and his son pitching, and the trip ended soon after. Overall, the journey was delightful; logs were crossed, logs were planked on, and sewage tunnels were travelled through. The Mokhotlong 3 presented us with an overview of the 1-year fellowship offered by the Tiny Lives Foundation as the day wound down. We now eagerly await the prehistoric trip on the docket for tomorrow.
