Studying The Sea In The Bahamas

Some Things You Can't Learn in a Classroom

For students as active and engaged as those who choose to study at Ƶ University, it is only natural that the summer months offer opportunities to extend their educational pursuits. Once again in 2016, numerous faculty members and students alike have chosen to continue their teaching and research in locations across the globe.

One of the most popular annual educational opportunities is the Ƶ Bahamas Field Study, which exposes students interested in studying marine science to an invaluable hands-on experience. In 2016, a total of 18 students and three professors are studying, working, and occasionally, playing in San Salvador, The Bahamas.

Their studies and work take the students and faculty members to beaches and ocean reefs, thanks to a partnership with the Gerace Research Center. Click the link below to read first-hand accounts of the experience as written on the Ƶ Bahamas Field Study blog.
