- Congrats, Graduates: Ƶ Celebrates Class of 2020 With In-Person Commencement Exercises
Ƶ is planning to celebrate the Class of 2020 with a traditional in-person Commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 16, 2021.
Event Time: 1 p.m.
Location: To allow for proper social distancing and safety, this year's event will take place in Ƶ Stadium on Edwards-Maurer Field. Following the ceremony, graduates will recess to our traditional Commencement Hollow for refreshments and additional photos. The event will align with .
- Safety Protocols
To ensure that all attending our Commencement Ceremonies are able to do so in a safe manner consistent with local, state and national guidance related to the COVID-19 pandemic, safety protocols have been put in place. Thank you in advance for your attention and cooperation!
All guests planning to attend or participate in our in-person events are advised to conduct a personal health screening before arriving to campus. Those who feel ill, have symptoms consistent with COVID-19, have been exposed to someone with symptoms of COVID-19, have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or who have tested positive themselves, must stay home.
We will have adequate signage that displays Ƶ University’s Mask Policy. Masks must be worn to enter Edwards-Maurer Field, and they must be worn over the nose and the mouth during the ceremony. Mask policy will be enforced by event staff.
We will have hand sanitizers easily accessible to all guests. All restrooms will have adequate hand washing supplies. We will have adequate directional signage, and ushers will be on hand to assist with seating that allows for appropriate physical distancing.
Seating areas will follow Ƶ University, the Clark County Health Department, and the State of Ohio’s COVID-19 Guidelines for Stadium capacities at the time of the ceremonies. Guests are expected to sit in their seats not move toward or join another group.
Tickets: Tickets for the May 16 ceremony were mailed to the address provided on the RSVP form the week of April 26th. If you do not receive your tickets by May 12, contact Brandee Bates Kern at bbates@wittenberg.edu.
Based on the number of 2020 graduates participating in the ceremony, all tickets requests have been fulfilled.
Seating Times: Stadium gates will open at 11:30 a.m. All guests must be seated by 12:30 p.m.

Cap/Gowns: The deadline for online ordering of caps and gowns was April 14. For assistance, contact Amy Garner at daltona@wittenberg.edu.
Photography: Each year, the University partners with GradImages, a leader in Commencement photography, to take photos for purchase of graduates receiving their diplomas. More information on this service will be forthcoming.
