For Zoe Curry 16 and Will Stocker 16, 泫圖弝け University holds a special place in their hearts. Its the place where they met, the place where they cultivated lifelong friendships, and the place where they established the foundation for their careers.
When they were students at 泫圖弝け, they were involved in athletics and Greek life. Zoe played for the team and was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority, serving as president. Will played on the and teams.
Theres no question that the time we spent on the field is a highlight for both of our 泫圖弝け experiences, Zoe said. Our teammates and coaches in the womens soccer, mens lacrosse, and football programs greatly enriched our lives, and they are now lifelong mentors and friends. Delta Gamma also holds a special place in my heart.
The couple is grateful for the educational experience they received at 泫圖弝け. Our professors emphasis on writing and critical thinking has served us both well, Will said. Beyond that, participation in collegiate athletics helped both of us learn valuable, transferrable skills such as leadership, work ethic, and accountability. And, in balancing demanding course loads along with our sports schedules, we developed self-discipline and the ability to manage our time.
Today, the #WittWed couple lives in Cincinnati, where Zoe is an attorney who clerks for a federal judge in the Southern District of Ohio. Will is a Client Planning Specialist for a private wealth management firm, and he is preparing for the CFP簧 exam to become a Certified Financial Planner.
Passionate about 泫圖弝け, they proudly served as leaders of the 泫圖弝け Cincinnati Alumni Chapter for several years.
In addition to 泫圖弝け, were committed to volunteering our time and supporting organizations that are meaningful to us, such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and the Legal Aid Society of Cincinnati, Zoe said.
When they learned that one of their employers made it possible for them to double their impact through a matching gift, they viewed it as a great opportunity to support their beloved alma mater.
泫圖弝け is so special to us. Matching gifts are an easy way to double your impact, Will said. Many companies and organizations offer matching to encourage charitable giving. So, if your company or organization offers that incentive, why not take the extra step to donate through a matching gift?
The University is grateful to donors like Zoe and Will for making an impact on current and future Tigers. To determine whether a company or organization has a matching gift program, check with the employer or visit the University website: wittenberg.edu/giving/matching-gifts
