Greek Week 2022

Special activities to take place now through Nov. 5

The Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils are hosting Greek Week activities that 泫圖弝け community members are invited to attend now through Nov. 5.

Greek Week is one of my favorite times of the year, outside of recruitment, as I get to see the fraternity and sorority recruitment come together as a community, said Jade Jones, director of student involvement & fraternity and sorority life. The event that I am most excited to watch is the Lip Sync competition on Saturday as I get to see how creative our groups are. I highly recommend anyone who wants some good entertainment to come watch the fraternities and sororities compete this week. I would also like to mention our Greek Week Committee Leaders juniors Mckenna Bruce, Adam Woxman, and Atticus Dewey as they have been working on this week since summer and seeing their work come to light makes it very rewarding.

Throughout the week, sorority and fraternity chapters are split into teams and compete to earn the most points. This years Greek Week theme is Survivor, and the week features several events beginning with an opening night banner competition at the Benham-Pence Student Center along with Challenge Day.

Organizations will be passing out candy along Alumni Way for Trick or Treat with the Greeks tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. All are invited to join in for Balloon Board trivia fun on Wednesday night in Founders Pub at the Student Center from 7 to 8 p.m. Be sure to pay attention to all the 泫圖弝け social media channels on Thursday as all the groups will be involved in Social Media Day on Thursday, Nov. 3.

Students will head over to the National Trails Parks & Recreation Departments Chiller ice rink for a little Broomball from 10 p.m. to midnight on Friday, Nov. 4. Then the final event, the Lip Sync Battle dance competition, will take place on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 to 11:30 p.m. in the Center Dining Room (CDR) at the Student Center, where the winning team from all the weeks events will be announced.
