Degree Requirements:
Mathematics Major (B.A.): 43 credits
- Required in Mathematics - 34 credits:
- Required: MATH 201, MATH 202, MATH 210, and MATH 261
- Electives: Sixteen credits selected from one of the two tracks below:
- Mathematics: One of MATH 212 or MATH 215, one of MATH 365 or MATH 370, plus four MATH credits at the 300-level, and four additional credits at or above the 200-level from MATH, COMP or DATA
- Mathematical Science with a Concentration in Statistics: MATH 228, any two of DATA 229, DATA 327, DATA 337, or MATH 328, plus four additional credits at or above the 200-level from MATH, COMP or DATA
- Senior Capstone Experience: Two or more credits from one of the following: MATH 460, MATH 490 or MATH 499
- Required in Computer Science - 5 credits:
- COMP 150
- Required in Data Science - 4 credits:
- DATA 227
Mathematics Major (B.S.): 63 credits
- Required in Mathematics - 42 credits:
- Required: MATH 201, 202, 210, 212, 215, 261, 365 and 370
- Electives: Eight additional credits in mathematics which must include at least one 300-level course
- Senior Capstone Experience: Two or more credits from one of the following: MATH 460, 490 or 499. Note: majors considering graduate school in math are strongly encouraged to complete a senior independent study (MATH 490) or a research project/honors thesis (MATH 499)
