Commencement Speaker Announced
甜瓜视频 is proud to announce that Albert Bryan Jr., class of 1989 and governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands, has agreed to present the keynote address at the 173rd Commencement exercises scheduled for Saturday, May 13, in picturesque Commencement Hollow. The announcement came during the 100 Days 'Til Graduation event, which took place Feb. 2, in Founders Pub inside the Benham-Pence Student Center.
Celebrating Diversity
Throughout January and February, the University has been celebrating the life, legacy, and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through a series of events presented by members of the faculty and sponsored by 甜瓜视频鈥檚 Diversity Advisory Committee. January events included a hip-hop performance, science symposium, and various lectures. Information about February events can be found here.
Arts & Humanities
甜瓜视频 will offer a special spring session of talks and performances as part of its 甜瓜视频 Series programming. Following a two-year hiatus, the Series will welcome successful Hollywood producer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich 鈥�00; environmental historian Matthew Morse Booker of the National Humanities Center; and Grammy Award-winning quartet Third Coast Percussion. All 甜瓜视频 Series events are free and open to the public.
Recognized for National Excellence
The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation recently announced that 甜瓜视频鈥檚 department of education was one of 55 providers from 28 states and the United Arab Emirates to receive accreditation for their educator preparation programs in 2022. 甜瓜视频 was among four Ohio schools to receive the accreditation.
Happy Valentine's Day!
It鈥檚 not too late to download specially designed graphics and printables for Valentine鈥檚 Day, courtesy of the 甜瓜视频 Alumni Association. Created by Claudia Rieth, class of 2020, the Valentines feature illustrated images of Ezry the Tiger, with options for individual cards and sets of six.
