Writing Center Advisors

The Writing Center advisors - representing a range of disciplines - are ready to work with you on any writing project, at any stage of the writing process. They can brainstorm ideas, read through completed drafts, or talk about style and sentence structure. Quite simply, they love working with other writers.

Hello! My name is Abbie and I'm from Kettering, Ohio. This year I am a senior at Witt, and I am a Studio Art and German double major. I have a cat named Cocoa who lives with me on campus! My hobbies include drawing, reading, spending time outside, and spending time with friends. I love writing and enjoy helping others with their own whenever I can. I look forward to meeting and working with you.

Hello! My name is Aleks and I’m a senior studying Communications. On campus, I work at the circulation desk in the Thomas Library and I’m also the treasurer of Spectrum. I’m interested in dance and writing fantasy novels, as well as listening to music and cooking. I enjoy reading fiction pieces and papers from all disciplines and would love to help you with any writing you’re working on!

Hi!!! My name is Caroline and I am from Akron, OH. I am a current sophomore here a Witt with a major in biology, a minor in marine science, and few other minors that I always seem to be changing. Besides being a Writing Center Advisor, I am also a Biology 170/180 Lab Assistant, a member of Gamma Phi Beta, a member of the Swift Society, and am an Honors Ambassador! If I am not in class, at one of these organizations, or studying, you can probably find me hanging out with friends or spending time reading! Most of my time is spent in the sciences, so by working in the Writing Center, I am able to find that balance! I am looking forward to working with you in the Writing Center soon! :)

Hello! My name is Claire. I am a junior Elementary Education (P-5 & IS) Major from Mason, Ohio. Outside of the Writing Center, you might see me involved with Student Senate, Weaver Chapel Association, Cru, Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ University Student Education Association, Education Department Student Advisory Board, Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Art League, the National Society of Leadership and Success, Spectrum Literary Magazine, Lesotho Nutrition Initiative, and the Honors Program. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing the flute, traveling, crafting, watching movies, and keeping up with current events. Hello everyone! My name is DJ, and I’m from Wapakoneta, OH. I'm a Senior English major with a minor in Creative Writing. When I'm not working in the Writing Center, you’ll likely find me over at Sips Coffee Bar or giving tours of campus. Outside of my on-campus jobs you may see me at events held by other orgs with which I am involved: Alpha Xi Delta, SAGE, Shades of Pearls, and Panhellenic Council. When I have free time, I love to spend it hanging out with my roommates, the rest of our Xisters, and my puppy, Milo, over in the Alpha Xi Delta house :) I love to read and write, both academically and creatively, so I'm super excited to work with you all in the Center soon!

Hi there! My name is Erin, and I’m a senior studying Political Science and Women’s Studies. I’m from the Toledo area. When I’m not at the center or in class, I’m involved with Shades of Pearls, ysda, gsda, and the honors program. In my free time, I love hanging out with my friends, crocheting, and watching Star Trek. I like reading almost all different kinds of papers, and I can’t wait to see what you bring in! Hello! My name is Kristina and I am from the Dayton area. I am a current junior majoring in English with a double-minor in creative writing and women’s studies. When I'm not working in the Writing Center, you can find me peer mentoring or working in the English department. Outside of work, I spend my free time as co-president of SAGE (the Student Advisory Group for English), the treasurer for Witt Lits (our on-campus book club), or in my various roles within my sorority. When I'm not busy with work or the orgs I'm a part of, you can find me chilling with my xisters at the Alpha Xi Delta house, playing with my cat, or reading and writing. I love working with any writer on any piece and look forward to seeing everybody that stops by the Writing Center!

Naevon ‘25

Greetings! My name is Naevon and I am a senior here at Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ University. I’m from Bowie, Maryland, and I am an Educational Studies Major w/ a Minor in Psychology and Sociology. I am also a former football player for our team, playing my freshman to junior year as a safety. Outside of the Writing Center, I am the president of CBS (Concerned Black Students), a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, a volunteer for Springfield Promise Neighborhood, and an intern for the football team as an academic tutor. One of the things that I like to do within my free time is watch tv, maybe watch some anime and write. I have always loved to write stories whether they are short stories or even try to tackle novels of my own. I hope to get to know many of you who are on campus who are maybe struggling with their papers or having a hard time; trust me we all are. I want you to know that we within the Writing Center are here for you in any phase of the writing process, as said within our mission statement. I can’t wait to meet and work with you this year!

Hi friends! My name is Reagan, I’m a senior here at Witt, and I’m majoring in English with a minor in Education and Women’s Studies. I’m from Springfield also, so you can always ask me about all the good places to eat! Besides working in the Writing Center, I am a part of Kappa Delta, NAMI, GSDA, WUSEA, and YDSA. In my free time, I love listening to music, reading, and being with my friends. I’m super excited to be working in the Center and I can’t wait to see what you all are working on!

Hi! My name is Sarah White and I'm from Pickerington, Ohio. I am a Junior majoring in English, yet I have lots of experience with the Biological and Marine sciences. On campus, you can catch me singing with the choirs or editing for the school newspaper, TORCH.
